We want to honor and love on all Mom's! And on this Mother's Day weekend, we especially want to honor and draw attention to foster and kinship moms. Moms who have stepped into a role of caring for and loving a child that needed care, love and support. There are over 3500 children in the foster care system in San Antonio and surrounding areas who need loving families. We are not all called to become foster moms, or foster parents, but we all can play a role, in different levels, to help address the foster care system crisis in our city. Babysit, provide respite, cook a meal, be a CASA advocate....or... maybe you are called to become a foster parent! On behalf of EVERY amazing mom in this room, we are blessing a few of our partner organizations, that are here today in our Lobby to help us step into these roles, care for the
children of our city, and come alongside and support our current foster families.
